As always I received excellent and knowledgeable service. I needed to exchange hiking boots on the advice of my podiatrist and the associate knew exactly how to meet my needs and did so cheergilly, quickly and efficiently even while serving several other customers.
Not happy about the customer service at Alderwood store. I had great success finding a pair of walking shoes but did not realize till the next day that they had sold me two different sizes (one 1/2 size larger than the other) I phoned the store to see if they could send me the correct shoe but they told me I would have to come in to correct THEIR error. (They did take the time to check and did discover that they have the two other shoes at the store) I live over 400 miles from the store so that was not an option for me. I was told I could go to the nearest REI and they would correct their error. This means a drive of over 200 miles but it is more doable. This is not customer service.
Best place for anything outdoors. From skiing, biking, camping, climbing to clothes. REI has it all and it's local.
Clean and well organized place, however it's hard to tell the employees from shoppers. Overall atmosphere was very.... meh... They advertise they have all the brands you might be looking for, which is technically true, but the selection they have of those brands is very limited.
